Young People's Entitlements
*IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU!*
There are a number of things that we believe every young person in Newport needs so that they can take advantage of the opportunities and choices that come to them. These things are referred to as "entitlements" because they are what the Welsh Assembly Government believes young people should or, are entitled to, receive.
We believe that these rights or entitlements are important to:
- help you make the best choices
- gain personal development and enjoyment
- lead fulfilling lives
As a young person in Newport, you are entitled to:

ARE YOU GETTING YOURS?
Newport Young People's Partnership wants to make sure that all young people living in Newport know about and receive their "entitlements". The purpose of this website is to tell you about where you can access the support, services and activities you are entitled to receive. But we also want to hear about your experience. You can tell us whether you feel that you are getting yours by clicking onto Viewpoint.
YOUR CHOICE, YOUR VOICE
The right to have your voice heard is one of your most important entitlements. NYC [Newport Youth Council] is here to help make sure that you can and is open to all young people between the ages of 11 and 25 living in Newport - go on 'have your say'.
It is also important that you understand the responsibilities that come with these rights. One of the things that we are developing is a Youth Charter with NYC. If you are interested to get involved with this, contact NYC.
