Books 2 Home is a new service for the people of Newport from Community Learning and Libraries. Items including books, audio books, Cds and DVDs from the stock of Newport Libraries can be delivered to the homes of residents who cannot get to a library for whatever reason.

Malpas Reading Group

A reading group at Malpas Library on the second Monday of each month for 11-15 year olds. Reading groups give like-minded individuals the opportunity to meet and talk about the books they have read and to share their reading experiences. Malpas library also run a "chatterbox" reading group for 8-10 yearolds on the first monday of each month from 4 till 5.

National Roman Legion Museum

At the National Roman Legion Museum you can learn what made the Romans a formidable force and how life wouldn't be the same without them. You'll be able to see a large collection of objects that show us how they lived, fought, worshipped and died. Open 10-5 Monday to Saturday and 2-5 on a Sunday. At weekends and school holidays, children can step back in time in a full-sized barrack room, try on replica armour and experience the life of a Roman soldier.
