If you care about the environment where you live and would like to get involved in protecting it there are some local action groups in Newport that you can join.
When we talk about the environment it doesn't just mean plants and animals, it takes in everything that affects us and the places we live.
From animal protection to different ways of getting around, recycling, carbon emissions, and the fairtrade movement from National Parks to problems of world importance like climate change and poverty, environmental issues that affect us everyday.
