Loud & Proud Needs You!
Loud & Proud (LGBT) Youth Provision is a provision for young people aged between 14 and 25 years old who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Transgender and for those who maybe questioning their sexuality or gender identity. Loud & Proud is run by Cardiff Youth Service and has been operating for 2 years.
Loud & Proud has now come to the end of its pilot phase and at present the uptake for the provision recently has been really low, with only a few people attending each session. As you have seen from looking on the Sprout website Loud & Proud has been working tirelessly to voice the opinions of young LGBT people and getting involved with major projects such as Cardiff Wales LGBT Mardi Gras, LGBT History Month and doing various projects.
Loud & Proud was set up to provide a safe space for LGBT young people where they can meet like-minded people and get involved in projects which may interest them. In the current economic climate, however, local authorities have to review services and this includes Loud & Proud.
This review will take place as either an online questionnaire or a member of staff going around town on a Saturday afternoon to ask you a few questions. We would like to hear what you want for an LGBT provision so if you have any ideas then please either leave a comment to this post or complete the online survey here.
